Who we are
Mensur Industrial & Electromechanical Importer ("Mensur", "we") sells pumps, motors and industrial equipment from Addis Ababa and our shops across Ethiopia. This policy explains what personal information we handle and why.
Information we collect
- Customer details you give us for a sale, quote or credit account: name, phone number, email, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and delivery or contact address.
- Payment details for transfers: bank name, transaction reference and the payment screenshot you send as proof.
- Credit account records: purchases, payments, returns and the balance owed.
- Messages you send through our website contact form or our Telegram bot, and your Telegram chat ID if you subscribe to product updates.
- Staff accounts: name, email, role, assigned shop or store, optional profile picture and optional Telegram chat ID. Passwords and PINs are stored only as secure hashes.
- Technical information: IP address, device and browser details, and a record of actions taken in our systems, used for security and fraud prevention.
How we use it
- To process sales, deliveries, returns and credit accounts.
- To verify transfer payments and prevent the same payment proof being used twice.
- To answer your enquiries and send quotes.
- To send product updates on Telegram if you chose to subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep our systems secure, investigate problems and meet legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Our hosting provider, which stores our data on our behalf.
- Telegram, to deliver messages you asked to receive.
- Groq, an AI service that reads the bank name, reference and amount from payment screenshots so staff can check them faster. Screenshots are sent only for this check.
- Government authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep sales, payment and credit records for as long as Ethiopian tax and accounting rules require. Website enquiries and Telegram subscriptions are kept until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer needed.
How we protect it
Access is limited by role: shop staff see only their own shop's records. Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, sign-in attempts are limited, and administrator actions are logged.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below.
